GoKP has decided to issue show cause notice to the principals of 174 Govt Schools for bad result

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has decided to issue show cause notice immediately to the principals of 174 Government Schools for showing bad result in the SSC examination. The government will also take strict action against these principals if their reply was not found satisfactory.

            It was disclosed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education Muhammad Atif Khan, while talking to media after giving away prizes among the position holder children of journalists at Peshawar Press Club and presiding over a meeting of Education Department on Tuesday. President Peshawar Press Club Alamgir Khan also addressed the Prize Distribution Ceremony while vice president PPC Faridullah Khan and other senior Journalists were also present on the occasion.

            Provincial Education Minister said though the SSC result of government schools was not encouraging but the educational standard has been upgraded, the number of A-grade obtaining students increased, the number of E-grade students has decreased remarkably while the students of these schools have reached to top positions then. He said passing the examination by a large number of students was not the quality scale otherwise we would have done it by showing  leniency in the examination but we, for the better and bright future of our nation, took strict  decisions, installed CC TVs cameras  in examination halls, rectified the process of engaging examination staff for duty and changed the pattern of MCQs, introduced OMR system and put one invigilator for 25 students instead of 40 students by activating Examination Vigilance System. He said imitation was discourage and for abrogating memorization, conceptual learning was given priority that was why the SSC result did not come according to expectation. He said for bringing further improvement in the examination system, the 1995 law was being amended by legislation which would soon be approved from Assembly. Muhammad Atif Khan said that the Education reforms would improve the standard of education and the students of KP would become capable competing internationally. He said due to the special attention of PTI Provincial Government to the education, political leaders media men and civil society members of the country have started giving their comments and proposals on the issue which was very encouraging for the government.
