The newly elected District Nazim Kohat hailing from Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf Muhammad Naseem Afridi took oath of his new responsibilities in a simple but impressive ceremony at District Council Hall Kohat on Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner Kohat Akmal Khan Khattak administered oath to the newly elected District Nazim. The ceremony besides the Provincial Minister for Law Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi, was also attended by former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Tehsil Nazim Lachi Ishfaq Qureshi, Assistant Commissioner Kohat Mahmood Ahmad, District President PTI Aftab Alam, District and Tehsil Councilors, elites of the area and party workers in large number.
Addressing the ceremony, District Nazim Kohat thanked the elected councilors for showing their confidence on him and said that he would try his best to come up to their expectations. He maintained that he would channelize all his best capabilities for the development of Kohat as per the PTI commitment. He added that Kohat was the District of all and would jointly work for its development without any affiliation.
Nasim Afridi asserted that 100% implementation on decisions of Council, provision of basic facilities like education, health and electricity, best traffic plan and clean and clear Kohat was his top priorities adding that he would leave no stone unturned to achieve these objectives. He warned the government functionaries to mend their ways and go ahead with the commitment of PTI led district government otherwise leave Kohat.
